Setting deposit amounts

Every online booking takes at least a deposit. You control the amounts in two places: a clinic-wide default, and an optional amount per treatment.

The default deposit

1. Go to Settings > Clinic and find the Online booking policy section.
2. Set the Default deposit amount.
3. Press Save booking policy.

The default is used whenever a treatment has no deposit amount of its own, so no booking can slip through without securing the slot.

Per-treatment deposits

1. Go to Settings > Treatments and open a treatment.
2. Enter an amount in its Deposit field.
3. Save the treatment.

A per-treatment deposit overrides the default for that treatment only. Use it to ask for more on long or high-value appointments, where a no-show costs you most.

How the deposit behaves

• The deposit secures the appointment and comes off the treatment price; the patient settles the balance in clinic. Patients see this explained at checkout.
• Any promo or voucher code the patient enters is applied against the amount being paid at booking.
• Deposits are held against the appointment and show in your finance reporting as money received but not yet earned.
