The validation report

The validation report pulls your treatment records into one structured view, designed to satisfy insurers and regulators who want evidence that your record-keeping is sound.

What each column means

• Patient. Who was treated, so each entry ties to a real, identifiable record.
• Date. When the treatment took place.
• Treatment. What was done, by product line.
• Batch number. The lot number of the product used, the key traceability field in the event of a recall.
• Units. How much product was administered.
• Practitioner. Who carried out the treatment.

Why it matters

For insurance and for bodies such as the CQC, the question is always the same: can you prove what was done, to whom, with which product, by whom, and when? The validation report answers that in one place. Crucially, the batch column lets you trace a recalled product straight to the affected patients.

Keeping it accurate

The report is only as good as the treatment records behind it, so record the product line, batch number and units every time. Do that consistently and the validation report becomes a compliance document you can produce on demand, rather than a scramble when someone asks.
