Selling products at an appointment: one payment for everything
When a patient buys skincare or other products during their visit, you can add the products in the calendar drawer and take one payment covering the treatment balance and the products together.
Taking the payment
Open the appointment in the calendar and press Add products in the payment box. Pick the products and quantities; the drawer shows Treatment + Products = To take. Choose how the patient paid (cash, card machine, bank transfer) and record the payment once.
Products default to taken away. If the patient wants them posted or collected later, choose that instead and the sale appears in Awaiting dispatch on your Stock page, exactly like a counter sale.
What happens behind the scenes
Stock levels come down automatically, the sale shows in your finance figures and VAT report with the right category, and the appointment shows the retail amount alongside the treatment payment. The treatment balance and the product sale are recorded separately in your ledger, so your VAT split between medical and cosmetic stays correct.
Products only, no treatment balance
You can also record a products-only sale against a visit that is already settled: add the products, leave the treatment amount at zero, and record the payment.
Refunds
Product refunds work like any retail refund: refund the money the way you took it, and adjust stock from the Stock page.
