Selling and redeeming memberships and packages

Once you have defined plans and packages in Settings > Memberships, the day-to-day selling and redeeming all happens on the patient's record, in the Memberships & packages section.

Enrolling on a membership

Open the patient, pick a plan from the dropdown and press Enrol on membership. Their record then shows the plan name, monthly price and discount. If they later want to stop, press Cancel next to the membership.

Selling a package

Pick a package from the dropdown (each shows its price and session count) and press Sell package. The package appears on their record showing how many sessions remain, for example 3 of 3 left.

Redeeming a session

When the patient comes in for a session of their course, open their record and press Use a session next to the package. The remaining count goes down by one; when it reaches zero the package is complete. A package can also be cancelled if needed.

Recording the money

Selling and redeeming here tracks entitlement, not payment. Record the payment for the package or the monthly membership fee the way you record any other payment on the record, so your finance reports reflect the money actually taken. The session redemptions themselves are then free at the point of visit, because the course was prepaid.

A tidy habit

Redeem the session while the patient is in the chair, not from memory later. The remaining-sessions count on the record is then always the truth, which avoids any awkward conversation about how many sessions are left.
