Promo codes and gift vouchers

Promo codes and gift vouchers let you run offers and sell prepaid value. The clinic owner sets them up in Settings, Offers, and patients use both in the same box when they book online.

Promo codes

Under Create a promo code, enter the Code patients will type, then choose:

• Discount type: Percentage off or Fixed amount off.
• Discount applies to: Full treatment price (booking reservation fee stays the same; the discount comes off what's owed), or The booking reservation fee paid at booking.
• Optionally set Max uses (optional) and Expiry (optional), and restrict the code to selected treatments (leave none selected for all treatments).

Press Create code. Use them for launch offers, seasonal promotions or to reward referrals. In the list, press a code's Active label to make it Inactive (and back again), or delete it; a deleted code stops working straight away.

By default the code box is discreet: patients open Have a promo or voucher code? at checkout. Tick Show the promo field publicly on the booking page on a code if you want every patient to see the box.

Gift vouchers

Gift vouchers are prepaid value a patient can buy and then spend with you, perfect for someone who wants to treat someone else. You can issue them in clinic, and patients can buy them online from your booking page once Stripe is connected. See Issuing and redeeming gift vouchers.

Using them

1. Create your codes, or issue vouchers, in Settings, Offers.
2. Share a promo code in your marketing, or sell a voucher to a patient.
3. The patient enters the code or voucher at checkout and presses Apply. A treatment-price promo reduces the treatment balance; a reservation-fee promo reduces that fee. A voucher reduces the treatment payment due online but cannot cover a separate platform booking fee. The box only appears when the booking takes a payment.

Keeping track

Redemptions flow through to your finance records, so the discount or voucher value is reflected accurately in what you have actually taken. Patients who used a treatment price discount when booking online are listed on the Finance page under Upcoming treatment discounts, with the discount already deducted from the balance asked for at their visit.

Money off in person

Promo codes are for patients booking online. To reduce a price yourself at the appointment, such as a model rate or a goodwill gesture, use an in-clinic discount instead: see Applying a discount in clinic.
