How patient reviews work: Google, verified reviews, or both

AesthetiClinic can ask every patient for a review automatically a couple of days after their visit. You decide where that request sends them: to Google, to a verified review held here, or a choice of both.

Turning reviews on

Go to Settings > Messaging and find the Google review link section. Paste your Google review link to switch on the automatic review request: a friendly email sent to opted-in patients a couple of days after their visit. Leave it blank to keep review requests off. You can edit the wording of the email itself under Marketing lower down the same page.

The three options

In the same section you choose where review requests send patients. Whichever you pick applies to every patient the same way, and every review is published whatever its rating. That keeps you on the right side of UK review rules. If you do not see the three options yet, they are still rolling out to clinics; until then, requests link straight to your Google review page.

  • Both (recommended): patients choose a public Google review, or a verified review here without their full name. Google grows how you are found; the here-only option captures reviews you would otherwise never get.
  • Google only: the request links straight to your Google review page. Best if your priority is growing your Google profile, though patients who will not review publicly simply will not review.
  • Here only: verified reviews on your booking page and directory profile, with the patient's name optional. No Google option is offered, so this will not grow your Google presence.

What the patient sees

On Both, the patient opens a short page asking "How would you like to review us?" with two choices: review on Google (public, shown with their Google name), or review here without their full name. They make this privacy choice before they give any rating, so every patient is asked in exactly the same way, whatever their experience.

On Here only, the patient goes straight to the review form. On Google only, they go straight to your Google review page.

The review form here asks for a star rating from one to five and an optional few words about their visit. They then choose how their name appears: their first name, their initials only, or fully anonymous (shown as "Verified patient"). Initials is preselected, and they stay in full control. A note tells them the review will be shown publicly on your booking page and directory profile with the name option they chose, whatever the rating.

Where verified reviews appear

Reviews left here are published on your public booking page and, if you are listed, on your AesthetiClinic directory profile. They are never filtered by rating, so patients see a genuine picture, and each one is marked as coming from a verified patient of your clinic.
