Checking and managing your Stripe connection

Once you have started connecting Stripe, the Settings > Integrations page (owners only) tells you where things stand and what to do next. Look under Payments for the Stripe (card payments) card.
Reading the status
- Connected and ready to take payments. All good: booking reservation fees and payments are collected at booking. Manage on Stripe opens your Stripe dashboard.
- Connected and taking payments. Stripe needs ... more details from you. You can take payments, but Stripe wants more information (usually identity or bank checks), sometimes by a deadline, and card payments will stop if it is not done. Press Update details on Stripe to provide it.
- Stripe is checking your details. You have given Stripe everything it asked for and it is reviewing it. There is nothing for you to do: card payments switch on by themselves when the review is done. A document check usually takes one to three working days. Check again refreshes the status; Open Stripe opens your dashboard.
- You started connecting Stripe but did not finish, or Stripe needs ... more things from you before you can take card payments. Press Finish Stripe setup to pick up where you left off.
- Stripe has disabled card payments on this account. We cannot re-enable it from here. Contact Stripe support from your Stripe dashboard.
- We could not reach Stripe to check your account just now. Nothing has changed on your side. Press Check again in a minute.
- Connect with Stripe. Nothing is connected yet. This button starts Stripe's own sign-up and onboarding.
Opening your Stripe dashboard
Manage on Stripe (or Open Stripe) takes you to the Stripe dashboard, where you sign in with your own Stripe login. That is where you see every charge, manage payouts, issue refunds and turn on payment methods such as Klarna and Clearpay.
While Stripe is not connected
Online bookings still work, but no treatment payment can be taken at booking, so appointments confirm without a booking reservation fee. A separately configured patient-paid Booking fee can still be due, collected by the platform. Buy now, pay later also needs Stripe connected. If an account is connected but Stripe has disabled payments, or its status cannot be checked, a booking that needs payment cannot complete until payment is available again.
