Buying SMS credits

Text messages are prepaid: you buy credits, and each outgoing text draws them down. Everything lives under Settings > Messaging in the SMS credits card.

Your balance at a glance

The card shows your current credit balance and how many texts you have sent in the last 30 days, which together tell you how long the balance will last. Below that, a ledger lists every recent change: purchases, auto top-ups, texts sent and any credits we have granted you.

Buying a pack

1. On the SMS credits card, press the pack button: 1,000 credits at £70 + VAT.
2. You are taken to a secure Stripe checkout to pay by card.
3. When payment completes you are returned to the Messaging page and the credits are added immediately, with a "Credits added" confirmation.

That works out at a flat 7p + VAT per message segment. Every purchase generates a proper VAT invoice, so your accountant can reclaim the VAT.

Your card is saved

The card you pay with is saved securely by Stripe, which is what makes auto top-up possible later; see the auto top-up article. Card details never touch AesthetiClinic itself.

When credits run out

Texts are skipped rather than sent on credit, and the matching email version of each message still goes out, so patients are never left uninformed. Skipped texts are visible in your Messages log, and a warning email nudges you to top up before it gets that far.
