Your Shifts page now shows the whole month

Open your Shifts page →

Nothing about your availability has changed. Nothing has been added, removed or moved. One new view has appeared, and this note explains what it is.

What is new

There is now a month view at the top of the Shifts page. It shows what each person is actually working on each date, once time off and extra sessions have been applied, and you can page forward and back through the months.

Until now the page showed your weekly pattern in one place and your one-off changes in another, and it only looked 30 days ahead. Putting the two together in your head was left to you, and anything set further out was working perfectly well behind the scenes without ever being shown to you.

How to read a day

  • Times are the sessions worked that day. Where there is more than one, a line separates them.
  • Highlighted times are a change to that person's normal hours on that date, so a day can read as the usual hours plus an added evening.
  • is a day not worked.
  • is a day off that was booked, rather than simply not worked.

You may see dates you have not seen before

If you had already set time off or extra sessions more than a month ahead, they will now appear. These are not new. They have been live on your booking page the whole time and patients have been booking around them. You simply could not see them on the page that manages them.

So if something looks unfamiliar, please do not delete it before checking. It is far more likely to be a closure or an extra session you set months ago than a mistake.

How to add time off or an extra session

  1. Go to Shifts.
  2. Scroll to Time off and one-off changes.
  3. Choose the person, the date, and whether it is time off or an extra shift.
  4. Add a start and end time, or leave them blank for a whole day off.
  5. Press Add.

How to set someone's normal weekly hours

  1. Go to Shifts.
  2. Find the person, then the day of the week.
  3. Enter a start and end time and press + Add.

What is coming next

The month view is read only for now. You set things in the two sections below it as you do today, and the month view shows you the result. Being able to click a date in the grid and set the hours there is the next step, and we wanted you to be able to check the view against your own diary first.

If anything does not look right, reply to any email from us and we will take a look with you.
