Map a treatment on your patient's own photo

Open a patient from Patients.

Nothing you have recorded has changed. Every treatment map you have already saved is exactly as you left it. This note is about what is now easier.

Map on the patient's own face, not a diagram

When you open a treatment map, the patient's photos are now offered first, above the diagram. Choose one and your injection points go straight onto their face, so the record shows where you treated this person rather than a generic outline.

This was quietly possible before and almost impossible to find, which is our fault rather than yours. It is now the first thing on the screen.

Take the photo without leaving the map

Take a photo to map on sits right there in the picker, or Take a new photo if photos are already available. It captures, saves it to the patient's record and makes it the base in one step, so you no longer have to go to the Photos tab first and come back.

You are offered photos linked to the visit or taken on its date, plus the photo an existing map already uses. A map records what you injected and where, so its background needs to be the face you actually treated, not one from six months ago.

Draw on it

Above the canvas there is a Draw button. Turn it on and drag to draw: vectors, lifts, an area you want to mark. Press Done drawing and you are back to placing numbered dose points. Undo last mark removes the most recent one.

Your numbered points are unchanged and still carry the product, dose, batch, expiry and depth, and still adjust your stock at sign-off. The drawing sits alongside them. A plain annotation does not deduct stock; a drawn pass with product and quantity can do so.

Photograph the vial

On each point, beside Batch / lot no., you can now take a photo of the vial. It is kept with the record as evidence.

Please still type the number in. Batch recall searches the typed number, so if a batch is ever recalled that is what finds the patients who received it. A photograph cannot be searched. To save you retyping it across a list, the field now suggests the lot numbers you have used recently: type it for the first patient, pick it for the rest.

Photos, full screen

Tap any photo on the Photos tab to open it full screen. Step through with the arrows or a swipe, double-tap to zoom, switch between a single photo and the newest before-and-after pair when both are available, and use Present to hide everything else when you turn the screen to face your patient.

You need clinical access to open treatment maps and photos. A signed map is read-only; add an amendment rather than changing its original marks.
