What is inside your data export

The one-click export from Settings > Data produces a single ZIP. Here is exactly what you will find inside it.

The CSV files

A csv folder holds one CSV per table: patients, alerts, notes, form templates and versions, form requests and submissions, treatment records and their products, photos, treatments and categories, appointment types, shifts, appointments, waitlist entries, payments, the credit ledger, the message log and the audit log. Anything structured is stringified into the cell, so nothing is dropped for being complex.

Your files

A files folder holds your stored photos and documents, organised per patient. Very large media libraries are capped at 500 files or around 200MB per export; if the cap is hit, a MANIFEST-TRUNCATED.txt file lists every file that was left out so nothing goes missing silently, and you can contact support for a full media export.

The summary

An export-info.txt file records your clinic name, when the export was generated, a row count for every table and how many stored files were included. Keep it with the ZIP; it is your proof of what was taken and when.

Who can export, and the record of it

Only the clinic owner can run the export, and every export is itself written to the audit trail, so there is always a record that a full copy of the data was taken, by whom, and when.
