What patients can do in the patient portal

Patients get their own self-serve account on your booking page, which cuts the calls and messages your front desk handles. It lives at your booking link followed by /account, and patients sign in with the email they book with.

What they can see and do

  • Forms to complete: any outstanding forms you have sent them appear at the top with a Complete form button, so paperwork gets done before they arrive.
  • Upcoming appointments: each shows the treatment, date, time, practitioner, status and your clinic address with a Directions link.
  • Reschedule and Cancel: patients can move or cancel an upcoming appointment themselves. If the appointment is too soon to change online, the portal tells them to call the clinic instead, so late changes still come through you.
  • Past appointments: a simple history of previous visits.
  • Your details: patients can update their own phone, date of birth, address and postcode, and manage their email and text marketing preferences themselves.
  • Book again: if they have nothing coming up, a Book an appointment button takes them straight back to your booking page.

What they cannot see

The portal is appointments and personal details only. Clinical notes, treatment records, photos, alerts and complications are never shown to patients through the portal; those remain part of the clinic-side record.

No setup needed

The portal comes with your public booking page automatically. Just share your booking link as usual.
