Controlling which treatments patients can book online

Not every treatment should be freely bookable online. Some need a consultation or a patch test first, and some you would rather not advertise at all. Each treatment now has three online visibility modes under Settings → Treatments.

The three modes

  • Bookable online. The normal setting: patients see the treatment and its times and can book it themselves.
  • Listed with a notice. The treatment and its price stay on your public booking page and widget, but instead of appointment times the patient sees a message you write.
  • Hidden. The treatment is removed from your public page entirely.

Listed with a notice

Use this when a treatment needs a step first. The patient sees your own message in place of the times, for example "Please book the lip filler dissolve consultation first", and you can add an optional link, such as the consultation's booking page or a form, so they can act on it in one tap.

They cannot book the treatment online, and any old link straight to it shows the notice rather than an error, so nothing breaks. Your team can still book the treatment in the diary as normal.

Good to know

Changing a treatment's visibility only affects new online booking. It never touches appointments already in the diary.
