The complications report
The complications report gives you a clinic-wide view of adverse events, month by month. It is the page to open before an audit, an insurance renewal or a team clinical-governance review.
Where it lives
Go to Reports and choose the Complications tab. Use the arrows at the top right to move between months.
What it shows
- This month: the number of complications recorded in the month.
- Unresolved: how many are still open.
- Severe / life-threatening: the count of the most serious events, highlighted in red when above zero.
- Rate per treatment: complications as a percentage of the treatment records for the month, so you can see the rate, not just the raw count.
Open across all time
Above the month table, an Open across all time panel lists every unresolved complication regardless of when it happened, each linking to the patient. Nothing open can hide in a previous month.
The month table
Each row shows the date, patient, treatment, severity, type, status and description. Severe and life-threatening rows are tinted so they stand out. Click a patient's name to open their record and the full entry.
Exporting
Press Export CSV to download the month's complications as a spreadsheet, ready for an insurer, regulator or your own records.
