Sending your first campaign
Campaigns are one-off marketing sends to patients who have opted in, for example a summer offer or a birthday-month promotion. You will find them under Campaigns in the Business section of the menu. Only clinic owners can create and send campaigns.
Creating a campaign
- On the Campaigns page, fill in the New campaign form. Give it a name, for example
Summer skin refresh. - Choose who it is for under Who is it for? (all opted-in patients, lapsed patients, patients who had a particular treatment, or a birthday month).
- Pick a Channel: Email, SMS or Both. Email sends need a subject line; SMS uses your prepaid credits, one per message segment.
- Write your message. You can use placeholders such as
{patient_first_name},{clinic_name}and{booking_link}, and they are filled in per patient. - Press Estimate audience to see roughly how many patients match, split by email and SMS, before anything is sent.
- Press Save draft. Nothing goes out yet.
Scheduling it
Your draft appears in the campaign list above the form. Pick a date and time next to it and press Schedule. The campaign starts sending at the time you chose. A scheduled or sending campaign can still be cancelled from the same list, and a draft or cancelled campaign can be deleted.
Consent is built in
Only patients who opted in to marketing receive a campaign, and an unsubscribe link is added to every marketing email automatically (if you leave {unsubscribe_link} out, it is appended for you). One caution shown on the page is worth repeating: do not advertise prescription-only medicines such as botulinum toxin to the public, as it is against UK advertising rules. Promote the consultation or the outcome instead.
