Reading the month view
The month view is the planning lens: not for running today, but for seeing the shape of the weeks ahead.
Getting there
On the Calendar, use the Day / Week / Month switcher in the toolbar. The arrows then step a whole month at a time, and Today jumps back to the current date, which is highlighted with a filled circle.
What each day shows
- A count badge in the corner with the day's total number of appointments, so busy and quiet days stand out immediately.
- Up to four compact entries, each with a start time and the patient's surname (or the block's title), coloured by status: teal for confirmed, amber for pending deposit, grey for completed, red-tinted for no-shows.
- A +2 more style line when the day holds more than fits.
Cancelled appointments are not shown in month view, and days outside the current month are dimmed.
Drilling in
Click any day and you land on that day's full diary view, where you can open appointments, add new ones and manage the day properly. The month view itself is read-only by design; the detail lives in day and week views.
Using it well
- Scan the count badges to spot half-empty weeks early, while there is still time to promote them or line up waitlist patients.
- Check next month before agreeing to time off, so you see what is already booked around it.
