Booking profiles: how practitioners appear to patients
When patients book online and choose who they would like to see, each practitioner can show a title, credentials, a short bio and a photo. These come from the Booking profiles section of Settings > Team.
Editing a profile
- Go to Settings > Team (owners only) and find the practitioner under Booking profiles. Click their row to expand it.
- Fill in the fields:
- Public title, for example
Aesthetic Doctor. - Credentials, for example
MBChB · GMC registered. - Short bio: a sentence or two patients will see when choosing a practitioner.
- Public title, for example
- Upload a Photo (PNG, JPG or WebP, up to 4MB). Until one is uploaded, patients see the practitioner's initials instead. Tick Remove the current photo to take one down.
- Press Save profile.
Only active team members appear here, because they are the ones the booking page can show.
Why it is worth ten minutes
Aesthetics is a trust purchase. A warm photo, a real qualification and a human sentence or two measurably reduce the hesitation of a new patient booking with someone they have never met. Credentials matter especially: patients increasingly check who is medically qualified before letting anyone near their face.
Writing a good bio
- Write in the third person and keep it to two sentences.
- Lead with qualification and experience, then a personal note.
- Avoid superlatives; a plain, credible sentence outperforms a boast.
