Multi-treatment visits: several treatments in one appointment

Patients can book up to four treatments in a single visit, and your team can do the same from the calendar. The treatments follow one another, including any gaps set between them, with the same practitioner, and the whole visit behaves as one booking: one confirmation email and one message per reminder stage when enabled, and one booking reservation fee.

How patients book a multi-treatment visit

On your booking page, each treatment card has an + Add button beside Select. Patients add the treatments they want, then press Continue. Available times only show where the whole visit fits, so a slot can never be offered that only works for the first treatment.

The reservation fee for a visit is the highest single fee among the chosen treatments, never the sum. If your clinic charges a percentage of the treatments booked instead, it is that percentage of the chargeable treatments in the visit, with your minimum, capped at their total. Treatments explicitly set to be free to book are excluded (see Payment at booking). Either way the patient pays it once and it comes off their bill in clinic as usual.

How your team books one

In the calendar, create an appointment and press + Add another treatment in the drawer (up to three extra treatments). The drawer shows the number of treatments and the combined duration before you save, and the manual duration box does not apply. Treatments can appear separately or share a diary entry. Open the visit and use Treatments in this visit to select a treatment; the current one is marked Selected.

Changing or cancelling a visit

Opening any treatment in the calendar shows the whole visit, with Cancel this treatment only and Cancel whole visit. Patients can cancel or move the whole visit themselves from their account when you allow it, subject to your notice and change limits. Their emails also have a management link; see Letting patients change or cancel their own appointment.

Emails and forms

Required consent or medical forms across all chosen treatments are collected together and linked in the confirmation when it sends. Confirmation and reminders respect your automation and channel switches and the patient's contact preferences. Aftercare remains per treatment and requires a linked, published aftercare form.

A treatment in a visit that is still awaiting its shared payment cannot be cancelled on its own while other active treatments remain. Cancel the whole visit instead.

Adding to an existing visit

Open the visit and choose + Add a treatment. Once it is added, the visit total and balance refresh. If you are told that the refresh failed, reload before taking payment.

In the drawer, use Treatments in this visit to choose the treatment you want to work on. The current treatment is marked Selected. Cancelled treatments are hidden until you choose Show cancelled.
